Lake County is in the process of drafting an Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice, which reviews fair housing data and potential impediments to fair housing choice, and identifies actions to overcome impediments. The county will host three public meetings to inform residents about the analysis and offer an opportunity to learn about the fair housing planning process and provide feedback on any barriers to fair housing choice. Those living or working in Lake County or its municipalities are encouraged to attend and offer input during any of the following meetings:

March 6, 2–4 p.m. March 6, 6–8 p.m. March 7, 6–8 p.m.
Cooper Memorial Library East Lake County Library Leesburg Public Library
2525 Oakley Seaver Drive, Clermont 31340 CR 437, Sorrento 100 East Main St., Leesburg

Entitlement communities are required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to affirmatively further fair housing. As an entitlement community, Lake County is required to take meaningful actions to combat discrimination, overcome patterns of segregation and foster inclusive communities that are free from barriers restricting access to opportunity based on race, color, religion, sex, familial status, national origin and disability.

Residents are encouraged to voice their opinions via an online survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/S7NPQ5S. Anyone who is unable to attend these meetings, but wishes to make their views known may do so by submitting written comments to:
