Members of the South Lake Chamber of Commerce visited Pat the Dog to officiate at a “We Noticed” ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Pat Caracciolo has been a professional animal trainer for over 25 years and is known as one of the most diversified animal behavior and training consultants in his field. He has worked with a variety of species of marine mammals including killer whales, dolphins, sea lions and polar bears, a variety of exotic birds including parrots and the majestic American bald eagle. He has lectured at schools and training clinics and appeared with animals on a variety of national radio and television shows.

After being an animal trainer at SeaWorld parks in Cleveland, San Antonio and Orlando for more than 16 years, he started “Pat The Dog” Training and Behavior consulting in St. Louis and later in Florida.  He worked as a consultant for The Ralston Purina Pet Care Center, managing the training and husbandry for over 1,000 dogs and cats.

Since 2012, Pat has owned and operated the pet resort, located at 7344 State Road 50, Groveland. The clean, comfortable staycation facility offers pets a fun, safe, environment to play and stay. Grooming and training services are also available.

Pat The Dog has a full security camera system covering both inside and outside the facility, 24 hours a day. Regular exercise activity is provided in a fully fenced outside play area featuring grass, pavement or gravel surfaces depending on your pet’s needs. Private rooms and a large, climate-controlled playroom are available for pets to play with their friends.  Special care is given to older and special needs pets.

Pat is actively involved in his community, serving on the Board of Directors of the South Lake Chamber of Commerce and Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Pig on the Pond (Project Scholars). He is the past chair and now a member of South Lake Business Leaders as well as a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of America.
