Summer is here as high humidity but luckily cloudy skies greeted our 92 participants who ran, jogged and walked the 3.1-mile course along the beautiful shore of Lake Minneola. This week we had 17 first timers and 20 runners recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 8 different clubs took part and as usual, we had a good number of visitors from the U.K. along with runners from St Petersburg, Russia join us this week! The first male to finish was a first-time visitor, Alex Penfold, representing the Croydon Harriers club with a very impressive time of 17:38. Kevin Grogan one of our regular top runners took second with another great time of 18:01 followed in the third position by Clermont regular, Scott Murphy who set a new PB with a time of 18:13.
On the ladies side, our Clermont Junior runners were well represented as they took the top 3 spots. Alexis Hill was the first female to cross the line with a nice time of 22:14, while Reagan Parks was second at 22:26 and Mackenzie Hill rounded out the top three at 22:56. Great job today by all of our participants!
