The Minneola Schoolhouse Library is sponsoring a “Food for Fines” food donation campaign. Donations will be accepted Friday, June 1 through Friday, June 29. All food donated at the Library will benefit the First Baptist Church of Minneola Food Bank.
For each unopened, unexpired non-perishable food item you donate, the library will subtract $1 off your overdue library fines. Fines cannot be waived for lost or damaged library materials. You can also donate pet food! The Minneola Schoolhouse Library is located at 100 South Main Avenue in Minneola.
The First Baptist Church Of Minneola Food Bank, located at 105 S. Galena Ave in Minneola, is open to all each Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 12 noon. The church is looking for dedicated volunteers to help with their food bank. For more information, you can call (352) 394-3957.
