Each year Clermont honors the memories of the victims and heroic first-responders who died in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and a thwarted attack on the Capitol.
On Tuesday, September 11 at 10 am, Clermont Fire and Police Departments are hosting the city’s annual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony at the Clermont Performing Arts Center, 3700 S. Highway 27.
Sergeant Nancy Rosario, a retired NYPD Sergeant with over 35 years of combined professional experience, will be the featured guest speaker. She will share her stories related to this horrific tragedy.
The event is free and open to the public. “The Clermont Police Department encourages everyone to come out in remembrance of those that made the ultimate sacrifice that tragic day and those responders that have since passed from exposure to the dangerous toxins at ground zero over the following days and months,” stated Chief Charles Broadway.
