This school year, Jennifer Waalewyn, the art teacher at Minneola Charter Elementary School, is creating an appreciation of art through creative projects. Students are learning about art history, painting, sculpting, drawing while discovering ART IS FUN!
Students and teachers at the school worked together with Mrs. Waalewyn to create and display a special project called “Pinwheels for Peace”. They made pinwheels and on September 21st (International Peace Day) the pinwheels were displayed in the grass on the hill at the school.
