Pinecrest Lakes Academy teachers found an educational and fun way to teach their students about different countries and cultures.
The students in each classroom were given a country to represent and they did so with some of the best parent volunteers Lake County has to offer. Parents and staff went above and beyond to make the multicultural day an unforgettable event for the second year in a row.
Cultural artwork and information were displayed at each of the booths offering the country’s customs as well as tasteful samples of food and drinks found to be staples in its culture included Brazilian cheese bread known as Pão de queijo, Italian ice, Belgium chocolate, English tea and biscuits, and shepherd’s pie from Ireland, just to name a few.
The students carried passports as they traveled the world and received stamps after interacting with the volunteers at each location.
