Over thirty elementary and middle school teams gathered at Clermont Middle School to play the 2018-2019 VEX IQ Challenge Next Level hosted by Cypress Ridge Elementary.  Teams were able to participate in practice rounds and skills challenges with their custom-built robots before the afternoon qualifying rounds and finals.

Students participated in a teamwork challenge to attain the highest score possible by stacking colored Hubs in Building Zones, removing Bonus Hubs from the Hanging Structure, and by Parking or Hanging on the Hanging Bar.

The 2018-2019 VEX IQ Challenge Next Level is one in a series of tournaments supported by the REC Foundation and various national, regional, and local sponsors. The competition season culminates each spring at the VEX Robotics World Championship, where these exemplary teams will have the opportunity to challenge their top-ranked peers from around the country and the world.
