Groveland Mayor Dina Sweatt, who was recently re-elected to the City Council, arranged with City Manager Mike Hein to display a banner at Veteran’s Park showing appreciation to veterans for their service in honor of Veterans Day.
The park, in front of the Puryear Building, at the corner of Lake Avenue and Orange Street, has special monuments honoring veterans from the Korean War and the Vietnam War in addition to flags from all the branches of military service.
