The City of Groveland is hosting a Kids Day at the Park along with its once a year Clean & Green Day on Saturday, January 12, from 10 am to 1 pm at Groveland’s Downtown Festival Park, 117 N. Main Avenue, Groveland.
KIDS DAY AT THE PARK
Enjoy a free family event, opened to all.
Groveland Event
From 10 am – 1 pm,  Groveland police are hosting a bike rodeo and bike wash with detailing.
At 11 am, Jiggleman will take the stage. Jiggleman is a former Ringling Circus clown and Universal Studios celebrity impersonator who has appeared on The David Letterman Show nine times. The popular entertainer keeps kids and adults laughing with his comedy stunts.
At 12 noon, the Roaring Cs will bring their kids rock band to the gazebo. These four talented young people, from 9 to 14 years old, are rising stars on the Central Florida music scene.

Other activities include:

– bring a book / take a book exchange.
– free plants and T-shirts giveaways.
– free snow cones and birthday cake for any adult or child celebrating a birthday in January. – free lunch, courtesy of Waste Connections.

CLEAN AND GREEN 
During the event, The City of Groveland and Waste Connections are hosting their once-a-year opportunity for Groveland residents to shred up to two banker’s boxes of documents and to safely dispose of household hazardous waste and unused or expired prescription drugs. The disposal site is at the east end of Groveland’s Downtown Festival Park at 117 N. Main Ave.
Household hazard waste includes paint, tires, batteries, light bulbs, used motor oil, and ordinary household chemicals. Each household is allowed up to two cubic yards of disposables.
The service is for Groveland residents only. Residents must bring a copy of a utility bill as proof of residency.
