It was another wonderful event at the Clermont Waterfront Parkrun this past weekend. Participants made their way along the beautiful shores of Lake Minneola towards lots of new PR’s, milestones, or just to the finish of a regular morning run with great company. Also worth noting: this weekend’s run marked Clermont parkrun’s 275th event. Thanks to everyone who has helped this location continue to grow since the first event over 5 years ago. This week 118 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 18 were first timers and 18 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 9 different clubs took part.
Jaelin Funk topped the overall podium this weekend with a time of 18:38. Following in second place was first-timer Anthony Powell in 19:12. Rounding out the top three and leading all finishers under the 20-minute barrier was Sean Garrison in a new PB of 19:49.
First timer Michelle Jager finished as the top female finisher with a solid time of 20:39. Second and third place was Kimberly Grogan and Anne Mcfarlane with times of 22:19 and 23:30, respectively.
A big congratulation goes to Cathy Kyle, who completed her 200th parkrun this weekend! Also, congratulations to John Hirsch on completing his 50th parkrun this weekend.

The female record is held by Kate BAZELEY who recorded a time of 17:17 on 20th February 2016 (event number 124), and by Ani VELTCHEVA who also recorded a time of 17:17 on 18th March 2017 (event number 173).
The male record is held by Ollie GARROD who recorded a time of 15:39 on 18th August 2018 (event number 245).
The Age Grade course record is held by Sabra HARVEY who recorded 102.90% (21:17) on 9th February 2019 (event number 272).
Clermont Waterfront parkrun started on 27th April 2013. Since then 7,304 participants have completed 23,667 parkruns covering a total distance of 118,335 km, including 3,742 new Personal Bests. A total of 336 individuals have volunteered 2,497 times.
