The South Lake Democratic Club’s monthly meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 5, beginning at 7 pm, at the Kehlor Building, 466 W. Minneola Ave., Clermont. The evening will focus on the environment in Lake County and the State of Florida with speakers Peggy Cox from the Lake County Water Authority and Katie Knisely from The Florida Conservation Corps. The Florida Conservation Corps (FLCC) is an office within the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Division of Recreation and Parks (Florida Park Service) that operates an AmeriCorps National Service program.
Plan on attending this informative meeting in order to gain an understanding of the problems facing our local and state environment, plans for addressing these problems now and in the future and how we can help.
