Montverde Academy’s Theatre Department is proud to present “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” based on Victor Hugo’s novel, as its first production of the season. This memorable theatrical presentation will feature the Academy’s award-winning student performers who bring the characters to life on a spectacular set with impressive costumes that will captivate audiences.

Join us for the telling of this gothic romance which revolves around the iconic Notre Dame in Paris during the reign of Louis XI in 1482. Quasimodo, a hunchbacked bell-ringer for Notre Dame played by Daniel Mills, meets and falls in love with Esmerelda, a beautiful gypsy played by Peytann Tamasi – who is in turn, in love with Pheobus portrayed by Aidan Fracker. Unfortunately, Quasimodo’s master, Dom Claude Follo (Anthony Morehead), also falls in love with her, creating challenges of epic proportions. This story uses phenomenal storytelling and the amazing music created by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz for Disney’s animated version of the story, to its advantage.
