The Clermont Historical Society thanked all those who helped make the Third Annual Heritage Day Festival a great success. The young volunteers from Give A Day Foundation, the members and friends of the Clermont Historical Society, Sponsors, and Participants contributed to helping create a very successful event
Everyone who attended enjoyed great songs performed by The Mountain Washtub Band and the “horse & rider” who joined them for a few numbers. Participants had an opportunity to see beautifully restored cars, in addition to a work in progress. A Model A joined its older cousins this year showing how automobiles have changed over the earliest years.
There was so much to do and learn at Clermont Heritage Days. Washing by hand, making fans, churning butter, face painting, listening to a Mountain Dulcimer, sampling homemade ice cream were just a few activities.
Plans are already being made for next year’s event!
If you are interested in the history of the Clermont area or just history in general, why not consider joining the Historical Society? Annual dues for an individual are only $25.00 and $35.00 for a couple.
