Congregation Sinai has stepped forward to help our Jewish Community with a series of new online programs for Friday Night Shabbat Services and Saturday Torah studies that are available as we continue to recover from the coronavirus pandemic.
Friday Night Shabbat Services: Everyone is invited to join Congregation Sinai’s weekly Friday Night Shabbat Services, led online by their spiritual leaders; Joe and Lynn Goldovitz. The abbreviated Congregation Sinai Shabbat Services will be held from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm. If you want to light your own Shabbat candles, share prayers, sing songs, offer a kiddush with wine and challah, just prepare to have them ready ahead of time. You may also want to have your Kiddush cups and wine/grape juice ready.
Just Log In! You can easily join from your computer or smartphone by logging into a free GoToMeeting.com web connection. Weekly weblinks are posted on their website and on their Facebook pages. Now members, guests, shut-ins, friends and family can easily participate from anywhere you have an Internet connection. Dress is casual from the comfort of your own home. After the pandemic isolation period is over, everyone will be invited back into the Congregation Sinai synagogue for all services, educational programs and special events.
Weekly Saturday Morning Torah Study: Congregation Sinai now shares Saturday morning Torah Study groups from 10 am to 11:30 am each week. You are encouraged to log in at least 10 minutes ahead of time. Weekly weblinks will again be posted on their website at www.congregation-sinai.org and on their Facebook pages.
Adult Education and Sunday School Classes for children are also available online. Check the Sinai website for details.
