Teamont Boba of Clermont recently opened at 639 8th Street in The Downtown Exchange.

Many may not be familiar with the name Boba Tea. The boba is made from tapioca and the drink is made from a tea base mixed with non-dairy creamer and flavoring.

When recently visiting

Teamont

Boba of Clermont, I was able to try Boba Tea and found it to be uniquely delicious.  I also was able to learn a little about Juliana Green the matriarch of the family-owned and operated tea shop.

TABLET – Tell me about when and how you decided to open a Boba Tea Shop in Clermont

Juliana – About three years ago, when visiting a boba tea shop for the first time, I remember thinking we need a boba tea shop in our Clermont. We have been living in Clermont for 17 years and always enjoyed the sense of close community the town provides. We love Clermont and since then have dreamed of having a place where you can enjoy a boba tea special treat without having to travel far. We have poured our hearts into the business when planning from the Teamont name, logo, top quality products, hiring, customer service training, COVID preparedness and more. Our goal is to serve the best boba tea possible while providing excellent service in an environment that is safe and fun.

TABLET – You said, “We” have poured our hearts into the business, Who are you referencing?
Juliana – All of us,,”the family”, have joined this amazing journey together. Kevin and I are blessed with three beautiful children ages 24, 23, and 15. We were all very involved in making this dream a reality.  My oldest son, Pedro, has taken this project heads on and has dedicated his entire time to its success. Pedro recently graduated from UCF with his aerospace engineering degree. Diogo has helped capture our vision through his photographer lenses. Jade, our youngest has always been highly involved as well from helping develop the menu (every flavor was been hand-selected and every recipe developed), design development, layout and set up of the store, point of sale, and most importantly tasting all the drinks 🙂 Kevin and I both plan on maintaining our careers while continuing to guide and support our amazing Teamont team.  I am a cardiac care nurse and currently work at South Lake Hospital managing the Cardiovascular Service Line.
TABLET – Is there anything else you’d like to share with the South Lake Tablet readers about the business?
Juliana – Lake County is our home and we appreciate all the support received from our family and friends and the entire community.
To us, this vision includes more than serving amazing boba. We want to create a place where families and friends can come together and make memories. We also hope to create jobs, especially during these times. We thank God for the opportunity to serve. We also thank this incredible community for the support shown to us so far – we are blown away by your kindness.
Please stop by, try one of our specialty drinks, sign the memory scroll, and say hi, we can’t wait to meet you!
