Paula Hoisington, a Clermont native and community leader, was named to participate on the Subcommittee on Accountability and Societal Change, as announced by the Florida Police Chief’s Association (FPCA) on July 30, 2020.  She and several other community leaders will join Chief Broadway of the Clermont Police Department, who was selected to this subcommittee on June 17, 2020.

FPCA President and Temple Terrace Police Department Chief Kenneth Albano stated that “the Florida Police Chiefs Association is honored by and appreciates the service of these community leaders who answered our call to join the subcommittee, and ensure that we have the full and unvarnished input of a wide spectrum of voices and expertise as we work to rebuild trust and accountability between law enforcement and the communities we serve”.

This subcommittee, which is composed of law enforcement and community leaders, was formed to review recommendations on reform and develop proposals to be implemented at the local and state level.  It was been created to enhance trust, ensure transparency and accountability, and strengthen the relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

Paula Hoisington of Net Communications is the Senior Vice President for Policy and Government Affairs.  Prior to working for Net Communications, she served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Community Corrections and a national auditor for the American Correction Association.  She has served on the Transition Team for Governors Bush, Scott, DeSantis and Mayor Demings.
