The Clermont Lions Club is much more than a Fish Fry or a Rodeo. Throughout the years, they have funded and sponsored many charities and projects and has helped thousands of needy people.

One of their projects is to help the blind and visually impaired become more independent. Eyeglasses, hearing aids, and cell phones are collected and then sent all over the world to help others. Brooms made by the vision-impaired are sold by the Clermont-Minneola Lions to raise money for worthy causes.  As an addition to the club’s fundraising efforts, a custom gun cabinet was recently donated by a patron for a raffle and the successful raffle added an additional $180 to the club’s funds. Money rasied at the event made the Lions enthusiastically proclaim..Best day ever!

The Club has acquired an automatic skeet launcher that will offer more spots for varied trap shooting at their gun range.  The range is open to the public on the second, third and fourth Saturdays from 8 – noon.

Special training is offered by Lions Josh and Mia Rodriguez of USS Academy. A portion of their fees is donated to the Club. For information on all aspects of the Club’s operations call Mia at 407 289-6796.

The Club meets 6:00 pm on the second Thursdays at IHOP on Hwy 27, Clermont until their regular venue at St. Matthias becomes available.

The Club recently greeted several prospective Lions as a result of the Club’s good works and comradery.
