Senior Program Updates
The City Of Clermont is excited to announce the reintroduction of more programs at the Clermont Arts & Recreation Center and the Kehlor Recreation Center for the month of March. The city will also be introducing a new policy in regards to utilizing nickels for our bingo games as described below.
Please be advised of the following policy regarding the use of money, and coins for the Bingo program in the Senior Game Room. If the following is not followed, we will not be able to offer the option to use coins for this program.
Upon Entering
  • Enter the room and place personal items down in an open seated area.
  • Please bring your coins over to the washing station set up and operated by a City staff member.
  • While the staff member is disinfecting the coins, it is suggested that the participants use hand sanitizer at that time.
  • The staff member will only take the coins of one participant at a time to disinfect.
  • Once the coins are disinfected, the staff member will place the now cleaned coins into a small container and hand to the participant.
  • The participant will take the container to their seat.
  • The participant will sign in at this point if they have not already.
Game Play
  • The participants will at this point after all coins are disinfected be able to play Bingo with the coins as they wish.
  • The participants will place their desired number of coins ($0.05 per card) in the community cup on the caller table.
  • When a game has been won, the winner will collect the coins from the community cup, into their individual cup.
  • For those not interested in playing with coins they can still participate, but when a Bingo round is won they will not win the community cup. They will simply just verbally win and participate without the coins. The community cup will be saved for the next round of Bingo for those who are participating in the coin aspect.
Leaving
  • Upon exiting, each participant will take the coins they won in the various rounds of Bingo played.
  • If the participant desires their coins can be disinfected by a staff member while exiting.
  • The individual cups, and community cups are to be left in the senior room to be disinfected and used for the next Bingo date, they are not to be brought home.
