The Soccer Institute at Montverde Academy (SIMA) offers itsSIMA Summer Camp Experience during June and July 2021. Directed by Mike Potempa, SIMA General Manager and Head Coach, the SIMA Summer Camp Experience offers a variety of camp options on the MVA campus for children ages 3-19 who have a passion and love for soccer.
“We are excited about our summer camp as we continue our mission of combining education and sport to help talented youngsters earn future opportunities,” said Potempa. “The SIMA program is a world-class youth development program that has produced more than 250 student-athletes who play or played soccer at the collegiate level and 54 professional players since 2011.”
SIMA Soccer Camp Experience Dates
- SIMA Day Camp – June 5-9 for boys and girls ages 3-13
- SIMA Junior Elite – June 9-14 for boys only residential, ages 9-14*
- SIMA Senior Elite College ID – June 16-20 for boys only residential, ages 15-19*
- SIMA PRO Experience – July 5-11 for boys only residential, ages 9-19*
*Commuter option available to all camps
As each camp participant works hard over the course of the week, they have the unique opportunity to be selected as the Most Valuable Player in each residential camp and win an all-expense-paid trip to Spain in Summer 2022 to train in a professional environment and feel what it’s like to play in Europe.
The SIMA Senior Elite College ID Camp has 15 NCAA Division I coaches working as staff members to train participants, providing a valuable experience for those who wish to gain exposure to elite college programs. The SIMA PRO Experience offers participants the opportunity to learn about the life of a professional athlete. With help from talent scouts, pro athletes, professional coaches, players’ agents, and club management staff, campers gain insight and a better understanding of what it means to play soccer at the professional level. Featuring virtual visits from global superstars such as Salif Diao, of Liverpool and U.S. International, and Oguchi Onyewu, two-time World Cup veteran, this camp promises to be unlike any other in the market today.
