Howey In The Hills is celebrating its 96th annual Founder’s Day Citrus Festival. The event will take place at the Howey Mansion, located at 1001 Citrus Ave in Howey-in-the-Hills on Saturday, May 1 from 10 am to 4 pm.
The free event will include vendors, food trucks, free mansion tours, and a Howey history exhibit by the town’s Historical Society in the ballroom of the Howey Mansion.
Guests are invited to purchase raffle tickets for the chance to a free night stay at the Howey Mansion Guest House and for baskets filled with items donated by the vendors with proceeds going to the restoration of the vintage Howey 1946 “Mack” firetruck.
