The South Lake Chamber of Commerce remembered and honored two long-time members of the South Lake business community.
Hanks Electric, a family-owned and operated business, closed its doors after the family lost both of their parents within a 9-month span (Jim Hanks on June 19, 2020, and Gail Diane Hanks on March 19, 2021). Hanks Electric, located at 757 West Montrose St., served the community for over 66 years.
Basha Schlazer has been named as an honorary Ambassador of the Chamber.
For many years Dr. Albert Schlazer and his wife Basha served as dedicated members of the SLCC Ambassador Committee. “Dr. Al ” passed on March 10 and Basha made the difficult decision to step down from the committee.
