October 23 – This year’s full distance (2.4-112-26.2) Great Floridian Triathlon has been designated the USA Triathlon National Championship for the ultra distance!
The 2021 USA Triathlon Ultra-Distance National Championships in Clermont, Florida, will qualify athletes for the 2022 ITU Long-Distance Triathlon World Championship. At the Ultra-Distance National Championship, the first-place athlete in each aged-up age group will automatically qualify.
Note, the championship designation only applies to the individual full distance event. Other events and triathlon distances of the Great Floridian Multi-sport Festival are not included in the championship.
