GP Construction recently celebrated the grand opening of its new facility in Groveland. GP Construction was formerly located in Clermont. Family, friends, and leaders in the community came to help them celebrate. Members of the South Lake Chamber of Commerce hosted the ribbon cutting.
Owned by Paul Gaynor, President and Jeff Paynter, Vice President, GP Construction is a local family business that was started by two former East Ridge High School graduates who have been close friends for over 20 years, since they played football together. While they were members of the first graduating class from that high school, they used to work together for Jeff Paynter’s father’s construction company. They have been in business together for the past 8 years. They have completed projects for Orlando Health, South Lake Hospital, Montverde Academy, Ruby Tuesday’s, North American Mining and Reliable Carriers.
Paul D. Gaynor brings 20 years of construction experience to the team in various market commercial and residential sectors, Gaynor keeps all of their projects on track. Having grown up in a residential construction trade business, he has worked to master many facets of the professional construction industry. He has experience as a carpenter, foreman, superintendent and project manager with permitting and sub-contractor management. Gaynor notes, “We are specialists in the construction of unique and exclusive commercial properties and custom homes. Our work inspires us. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding quality and design for leading clients across the world. We couldn’t do what we do without the great support we have thankfully received from our local South Lake community!”
Jeffrey Paynter II tracks, supervises and directs the day-to-day in the field construction operations and activities. Paynter is experienced in all aspects of coordinating site construction projects while overseeing trade and field personnel to drive each project to be on time and on-budget. He has experience working on bridges, commercial and custom residential construction projects. Paynter also brings 14 years of professional construction experience to the team in various market sectors.
