Members of the Minneola Ward, Leesburg Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, cleared debris from a yard in Port Orange. Leesburg stake teams organized a supply line at the command center in DeLand.
Hurricane Ian brought high winds and flooding to Volusia County, located on the east side of Florida. The Leesburg Stake organized several teams at the command center, located at the Deland Stake Center. Teams joined with other volunteer groups to assist with removing debris from homes, cutting and moving fallen trees, and muck out projects.
