An outpouring of food donations, care for the community and volunteer teamwork came together on Saturday, November 19th at the Northeast Regional Park of the Four Corners Community to ensure that families that have fallen on difficult times have a joyful and healthy Thanksgiving meal. Fresh fruits, vegetables and all of the trimmings for a holiday celebration were included in the care packages that were complete with whole turkeys or hams.

An estimated three-hundred families were served in a coordinated drive-thru style giveaway. Hands of Hope America provides much more than just food to the Four Corners area. In addition to emergency food assistance, the organization also provides job location assistance, financial stability counseling, health services, educational counseling and mental health services.

With the dishes barely dry from Thanksgiving, Hands of Hope is underway with plans to provide a Community Christmas Party on December 10th, 5 pm to 8 pm at the Cagan Community Library grounds, 16729 Cagan Oaks Dr., Clermont- Four Corners. The event is a partnered collaboration with Cagan Properties, Hands of Hope, Kiwanis Club of Clermont and Read to Sydney.

Games, food trucks, Christmas decorations, goody bag giveaways and a visit with Santa are all in the line-up for a fun-filled family evening.
