The Clermont Woman’s Club recently donated to the charities they support in the South Lake Community. Donations were delivered to the Cooper Memorial Library, New Beginnings, Canine Companions, Find, Feed & Restore, the Haven of Lake/Sumter, Neighborhood Ctr of So Lake, and the South Lake Historical Society. They donated to Camp Boggy Creek in October and Wreaths Across America in December. In May, they will also provide a scholarship to a graduate from each of South Lake’s three high schools.
The Clermont Woman’s Club is a Federation Woman’s Club chartered in 1927. It is a non-profit service organization and by fundraising throughout the year, they are able to support international, national and local charities. They meet on the Tuesday of each month at 12:30 pm at their clubhouse, 655 W. Broom St, Clermont. For information, see Clermontwoman’sclub
