At the annual meeting of the Florida Native Plant Society (FNPS) on Saturday, April 8 at 9:30 am, a presentation and group discussion covering DarkSky concepts will be shared with the group. The FNPS annual meeting takes place at the Groveland Public Safety Complex, Community Conference Room located at 6825 SR50 in Groveland.
Topics of discussion will include: Light Pollution and how it impacts plants, animals, insects and humans.
DarkSky preservation featuring Groveland’s DarkSky ordinance and how it can save the night sky locally and throughout our area.
How you can make a difference today in your yard and community for now and for the benefit of your children.
Local DarkSky advocate and FNPS member Marty Proctor will lead the presentation and discussion.
