Every month, from September through May, Clermont Garden Club members loan plants to Cooper Memorial Library and Clermont City Hall to promote horticulture awareness and connect our community to Clermont Garden Club’s programs, civic activities, and community outreach.
Clermont Garden Club member, Tina Worrell has loaned a Kalanchoe blossfeldiana to Cooper Memorial Library for the month of April. Kalanchoe grows in well-draining soil with bright sunlight. The plant uses low water, and can be fertilized with a general purpose houseplant food. Kalanchoe can be propagated from stem or leaf cuttings.
If you are looking for a book on growing flower/vegetable gardening, landscaping or horticulture, the library has gathered a variety of books (on a rounder as you enter the library).
Clermont Garden Club member, Pam Molesky loaned a Dracaena marginata to Clermont City Hall. The Dracaena marginata is a popular indoor plant with long, slender green leaves edged with red. These plants are quite drought-resistant and don’t require a lot of water; the top half of the soil should be completely dry before watering. Dracaena
