On Wednesday, May 3, U.S. Congressman Daniel Webster invited friends, constituents and family to the opening of his new Clermont office, located in Oakley Seaver Plaza, Clermont. The South Lake Chamber of Commerce officiated at a ribbon cutting to celebrate Congressman Webster’s new office in Clermont.
The office was relocated from Leesburg to Clermont as a centralized location for his office after congressional district lines were redrawn in 2022. District lines were redrawn to include all of Sumter County, Central and Southern portions of Lake County and portions of West Orange County.
Congressman Webster has served the Florida congressional 11th district since 2017. He represented Florida’s 10th congressional district from 2011 to 2017. Before his United States congressional service, Webster served twenty-eight years in the Florida legislature and was the first Republican Speaker of the House of Representatives since the Reconstruction Act of 1867.
After receiving his engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Webster worked in the family air conditioning and heating business that he now owns and operates. He has been a resident of Florida since the age of seven and resides in Winter Garden, Florida. He was first elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 1980 and the Florida Senate in 1998. Webster is the longest-serving legislator in Florida History.
