The City of Clermont Public Works Department and the Parks and Recreation Department will hold a Community Planting Day, February 24th, at 9 am at Lake Hiawatha Preserve. If you love to garden, the city will furnish 3,000 longleaf pine seedlings and 1,000 wiregrass seedlings.  RAIN OR SHINE! with no end time because ALL THE TREES will be planted!

Planting will be done by hand, and the city will provide the tools.  60 VOLUNTEERS are needed!

The purpose of this project is to restore the upland areas to a southern pine forest.

We hope you will join us.  Volunteers who have specific questions can call 352-394-3500.
