The Clermont Historical Society is happy to announce the annual Heritage Day Festival will be held at the Historic Village on Saturday, November 18th from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. So, mark your calendars, gather your friends, and plan a fun-filled day strolling through the Vhistory of your community.
Once again, the day will feature fun activities and demonstrations. Have you ever tried freshly churned butter? Or used a handmade nail? How about making your own rope? These are just a few of the things you will get to do on the 18th.
A special thank you goes to Outback of Clermont who will be providing the lunch which will be available to purchase and to Sweet Cups who are providing the dessert cookies. There may even be a few surprises to eat!
The Historic Village is conveniently located at 490 West Avenue in Clermont, not far from the historic downtown district. While you are at Heritage Day, please take the time to tour all our buildings. Some interesting guests and demonstrations will be inside the buildings. The Village is home to a World War II Quonset hut, the original Cooper Memorial Library, the house built by Clermont’s first African American family—James & Sallie Townsend and much more. The Village is open every Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and admission is by donation. Come and see all the Village has to offer.
