The Friends of Cooper Memorial Library began their annual book sale on Friday, February 16 at Cooper Memorial Library, 2525 Oakley Seaver Drive, Clermont.

Anna Ramsay, the organization’s president said the sale has been an incredible success so far. People were waiting in line at 9 am on Friday and Saturday to be one of the first to browse through the large selection of books including: fiction, non-fiction, large print, home-schooling resources, and a wide assortment of books for teens and children as well as CDs, books-on-tape, DVDs, videos, and jigsaw puzzles are also available. Prices ranged from 25 cents to two dollars with classics and coffee table (larger) books priced slightly higher.

Leftover books will be sold at the library on Monday, February 19 (9 am – 5 pm) and Tuesday, February 20 (9 am – 12 pm) at reduced prices.

Proceeds from the sale will be used on special programs for children, teens, and adults including the Veterans History Project, the Spring Festival of Reading, Summer Reading programs and updates to the Go Zone.
