On Sunday, March 11, from 3-5 pm, supporters of The Animal League are joining forces to organize a live Chicago Tribute Concert to raise funds for the life-saving work of The Animal League.

The headlining entertainment, Orlando Transit Authority,  is a high energy Chicago Tribute Band. Select adorable adoptable pets from The Animal League’s adoption shelter will also be on-site for ticket-holders to visit before the show.

The Animal League rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes 1,000+ abused, neglected, and homeless cats and dogs each year. On average medical care costs for a pet entering the doors of the Animal League can exceed $450, not including operating expenses to keep pets comfortable, well-fed, and cared for.

“Fundraising efforts such as this concert make it possible for The Animal League to continue emergency rescue missions, where immediate access to medical funding is necessary,” said Doreen Barker, President of The Animal League. “Charlie was one of our most recent emergency rescues. He had a mutilated leg and slit throat when we rushed him to the surgeon for immediate care. That bill alone totaled nearly $5,000. He’s currently doing well and in the care of a foster family until he fully recovers.”Charlie’s Story
