The Grand Opening of The South Lake Democratic Club’s 2018 Campaign Headquarters, located at 1205 Bowman St., Clermont (Sunnyside Plaza off Highway 50 East), will be held on Saturday, June 30, from 11 am -2 pm. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet 2018 candidates running for federal, state and local office, register to vote and learn about local and state issues. Drop by and enjoy grilled hot dogs with all of the fixings and bring a friend!
Volunteers are needed to staff the office, open from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Saturday (June and July) with extended hours beginning in August, to help with phone banking, canvassing, assisting with voter registration, and other activities in support of the upcoming elections. In addition, the South Lake Democratic Club meets the first Wednesday of the month, 7 pm, at the Kehlor Building, 466 W. Minneola Ave. (corner of 5thSt. and Minneola Ave., next to the tennis courts), Clermont. All are welcome!
