The Village Goldsmith Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary
Jim Johnson, The Village Goldsmith, has dedicated a quarter of a century, and over a third of his lifetime, to the dream of providing South Lake County with the very best one-of-a-kind jewelry and goldsmith establishment.
Twenty-five years ago, on June 14, 1994, Jim opened The Village Goldsmith to the folks of south Lake County. Under the same oak tree, Jim and his dedicated crew continue to treat every client with respect, courtesy, and honesty.
The three on-site master goldsmiths, Jim Johnson, the owner; Jose Carpio, who worked in the diamond district of New York before relocating to Central Florida; and Matt Jewell, who worked for Tiffanys as a diamond setter; all provide precise, flawless workmanship with the assistance of Monica who serves as their guiding hand.
The Village Goldsmith will not disappoint regardless of the intrinsic value of the client’s treasure or budget.
Services such as watch battery replacement, jewelry repairs, bead and pearl restringing have been the jeweler’s stock-in-trade these many years; and remounts and modifications remain a welcome challenge. While The Village Goldsmith continues to lead the local market by catering to those individual custom pieces, it has also kept pace with unique retail items and will continue to do so.
For all their efforts and ethics, The Village Goldsmith was, for the third time, honored by the voting folks of South Lake County and South Lake Chamber of Commerce, with The Best Jewelry Store of South Lake County Award.
“It remains the unwavering support of the people who have become family, friends, neighbors and partners that are our greatest reward”, said Jim.
Thank you, Clermont, for keeping your business at home and making our shop your jewelry shop of choice.”
