Police Chief Charles Broadway was challenged by his brother Pastor Brian Broadway to a game of family feud; the challenge was accepted.
On Saturday, September 25, the brothers met at the Wesley Center, located at the First United Methodist Church of Clermont. Over a hundred supporters were there to cheer for both Cops and Clergy. The teams had their sites set on the prize— prestige and a worthy cause: Find, Feed & Restore.
Master of Ceremony DJ Wilson kicked off the evening. Clermont Battalion Sea Cadets presented the colors.
Although the Cops won, the Clergy took the loss quite well, though I wouldn’t doubt another challenge.
Pastor Brian Broadway is the founder and president of Find, Feed & Restore, a non-profit housing program that assists families with children to live, develop and grow in a stable environment
Restore Lake will provide Bridge Housing for 3-4 months at no cost to help individuals get back on their feet. It will also provide shelter for women of domestic violence for 6 to 8 months at no cost to help survivors of domestic violence. The project will have 32 beds (can expand to 80 beds), a full kitchen, dining hall, apartment for a property manager, along with a case management facility. The project is scheduled to be completed in February 2022.
Donations are needed, as well as trailers to temporarily house the homeless. To learn more call 866-236-2983 or visit www.FindFeedRestore.com
